Friday was a big day for Haas Factory Team. In the morning, the team announced its decision to move from Ford to Chevrolet for the upcoming 2026 NASCAR season and that it would also form a technical alliance with Hendrick Motorsports. In the afternoon, Sam Mayer capped the day off for the team by pacing NASCAR Xfinity Series practice at World Wide Technology Raceway.
Mayer was fastest in the session thanks to a 33.375-second (134.831 mph) lap around the 1.25-mile race track. Mayer was more than a tenth of a second faster than Jesse Love, the runner-up driver in the session.
