After the Paris Olympics, NBA fans began imagining the possibility of LeBron James teaming up with Stephen Curry on the court. The Warriors reportedly explored ways to pair the two stars. But so far, nothing has materialized.

Before this recent excitement, fans of Curry and LeBron frequently clashed online, fiercely debating which player had the superior legacy. On that front, Houston Rockets star Amen Thompson sided with LeBron.

During an appearance on the Old Man And Three podcast, Thompson admitted that his admiration for LeBron shaped his feelings toward the Warriors.

“I was a LeBron fan — I’m not gonna lie. I didn’t dislike the Warriors until — I actually liked the Warriors until they had to start playing LeBron. And then I’m like, ‘Okay, now I hate the Warriors,’” Thompson said.

The rivalry between Curry and James was most intense during the NBA Finals from 2015 to 2018. During this time, Curry’s Golden State Warriors and LeBron’s Cleveland Cavaliers faced each other four consecutive times. Curry-led Warriors dominated James’ team three times in the Finals.

On Saturday, LeBron James received his Hall of Fame orange jacket as a member of the ‘Redeem Team’! In an X post, King James shared his feelings about his NBA journey.

“Was up early thinking 🤔!! 23 years in the league… the ups, the downs, and everything we accomplished along the way. What if I never got that first opportunity to show what I could do?!?!” James wrote.

Carmelo Anthony and Dwight Howard were also inducted as members of the Redeem Team. But both earned additional individual honors during the Hall of Fame ceremony. Howard even teased and shared gratitude toward James for attending the ceremony. Among the Redeem Team inductees, only LeBron James and Chris Paul remain active players in the NBA.
