Five fast facts you need to know about tennis star Felix Auger-Aliassime, his family and relationship status.

Felix Auger-Aliassime one of the most successful tennis players in Canada and throughout the world right now. He hit a career-high No. 6 in singles in 2022, which was the the second-highest ranking for a Canadian man on the ATP Tour, so he’s drawing attention in the tennis world. Over the years, he’s picked up seven singles titles, a bronze medal in mixed doubles at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris and plenty of other honors.

But, who is Auger-Aliassime and what is his family like? Here’s what you need to know about Auger-Aliassime and his fiancée, Nina Ghaiba.

Auger-Aliassime’s parents, Sam Aliassime and Marie Auger, really should thank his parents for his tennis career. His mom is a teacher, and his fathaer is a former tennis coach. He told The New York Times that his father started teaching him to play at age 4, and his dad also taught his older sister, Malika Auger-Aliassime, to play.

He also shared with ESPN that, “Our parents wanted me to be a complete athlete. So we played all sports, but tennis always was at the top.”

#2: He is Close With His Wellness Coach Andi Vial

Felix’s wellness coach is Andi Vial, who is also a kinesiologist. “Kinesiology, derived from the Greek word for movement, ‘kinesis’, is the study of the mechanics of bodily movements,” notes News Medical.

Throughout the years, Vial and Auger-Aliassime have been close, so he’s more than just his wellness coach. According to Town and Country Magazine, Vial “regularly sits with Frédéric in the box” at matches.

#3: His Sister is Also a Tennis Player

His sister, Malika, is about two years older than Felix, and she’s also a tennis player. As mentioned above, his father coached them both, so tennis is in the blood. She hit a career high junior rank of No. 554 as of 2016, according to Town and Country.

Town and Country adds that Marie, their mom, joked in an interview with the Le Journal interview that Malika will still play tennis with her, but Felix wont because “it’s his job” and “he doesn’t want to play with his mother or sister anymore.”

#4: His Parents Are Divorced

Marie dropped the news in a 2022 interview with Le Journal de Québec that she and Sam had decided to get a divorced. But, she said that the two would still continue to work together to support their song with his tennis goals.

“It makes me even happier when people tell me that Félix is ​​a good person, that he’s intelligent, because as a parent, I didn’t raise a tennis player,” she said at the time. “I helped a child become a comfortable adult.”

#5: His Fiancée is Nina Ghaibi

Auger-Aliassime and Nina Ghaibi got engaged in November 2024. The two met when they were just 18 years old, so they’ve been together for around six years.

Ghaibi is also a professional athlete herself, and she often attends his matches to cheer him on. She’s an equestrian and represents Morocco when she competes.
