Sunday afternoon’s game between the Carolina Panthers and Jacksonville Jaguars was delayed for more than 45 minutes due to inclement weather in Duval County. The Jaguars were leading the Panthers 10-3 at EverBank Stadium with 8:32 left in the second quarter when the game was paused and fans were asked to seek shelter within the stadium.

About 50 minutes later, the stadium announced that fans could return to their seats.

The game features the NFL debut of No. 2 overall pick from the 2025 NFL Draft, Travis Hunter. The two-way talent has reeled in all four of his targets from Trevor Lawrence for 22 yards. The Jaguars got Hunter involved early, with his first touch coming on a 10-yard reception on the Jaguars’ second offensive play of the game. Hunter, who is also a reserve defensive back for the Jaguars, has not played a defensive snap.

The game’s lone touchdown in the game came on a 6-yard connection between Lawrence and tight end Hunter Long. The Panthers got on the board with a 48-yard field goal from rookie kicker Ryan Fitzgerald.
