CHAMPAIGN — While a lot of Illinois basketball’s recruiting focus is on working to round out their 2026 class, the Illini are also trying to lure in a top in-state target in the Class of 2027.
East Peoria wing Quinton Kitt made an unofficial visit to Illinois on Aug. 28, his first time in Champaign since the Illini became his first high-major offer in May. Kitt spent time visiting the Ubben Basketball Complex, touring the U of I campus and breaking down some film with the Illini coaching staff.
“They seem like they really want me there, so that feels good to hear,” Kitt told Illini Inquirer. “They have a lot of resources and things that can help make me successful and get to the next level.”
