WWT Raceway’s first-ever NASCAR Cup Series Playoff race on Sunday delivered a capacity crowd at the 1.25-mile oval located minutes outside of St. Louis.
MADISON, Ill. (Sept. 7, 2025) – The NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs made its inaugural appearance at World Wide Technology Raceway before a sold-out crowd for Sunday’s Enjoy Illinois 300.
The second race of the opening Round of 16 for the Cup Series Playoffs was showcased before a capacity crowd at the home of NASCAR, INDYCAR and NHRA racing in St. Louis’ Metro East region located just minutes from downtown St. Louis.
World Wide Technology Raceway has hosted regular-season Cup Series races the past three seasons and continued the trend of playing before capacity crowds in the St. Louis region.
The NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs will return again next year when WWT Raceway hosts the Enjoy Illinois 300 on Sunday, Sept. 13, as the second race of the Round of 16 once again. Tickets for the 2026 Enjoy Illinois 300 are now on sale at www.wwtraceway.com.
