HATFIELD, Pennsylvania (WPVI) — 100-year-old Pearl Atwood has been steadily swinging her golf club for the past half-century.

It started with the encouragement of her husband. Upon his retirement, Atwood decided to learn how to play alongside him. Together, they enjoyed many outings on the green.

For much of the past half-century, Atwood has played at Twin Woods Golf Course in Hatfield, Pennsylvania. There, she enjoys playing nine holes every Wednesday during the golfing season.

Atwood turned 100 years old on September 1st, 2025. And just a couple days later, she enjoyed a birthday surprise on the green.
