A number of loud explosions have been heard in the Qatari capital Doha, eyewitnesses told the news agency Reuters.
Shortly after, the Israel Defence Forces said it had struck a high-level Hamas meeting. While the statement on X did not mention Doha, Hamas’ main offices outside of the Gaza Strip are in the city.
It was not immediately clear whether the blasts in Doha were connected to the IDF statement.
Smoke was seen rising over the Katara District, the witnesses said.
