Following its massive Monday, James Gunn’s Superman continues to fly high, banking $17.1 million on discount Tuesday, its biggest day since opening and the top Tuesday of 2025 so far.

That’s a huge +32.6% increase from Monday’s $12.9M — outperforming similar films like Thor: Love and Thunder (+12.1%) and The Batman (-0.5%).

Biggest Tuesday of 2025 and for Any Superman Film

Superman just took the crown for the #1 Tuesday of the year, topping:

Lilo & Stitch ($15.2M)

Jurassic World: Rebirth ($15.1M)

Minecraft ($12.8M)

It also marks the highest-grossing Tuesday ever for a Superman film, beating out Batman v Superman’s $12.2M and Man of Steel’s $11.5M.

#4 Biggest Tuesday in DC History

This $17.1M total now ranks Superman at #4 all-time for DC Tuesday box office:

Aquaman – $22M

The Dark Knight – $20.7M

The Dark Knight Rises – $17.8M

Superman – $17.1M

Wonder Woman – $14.3M

It’s also worth noting that among non-opening Tuesday totals for solo superhero movies, Superman now sits at #6 all-time, ahead of Spider-Man: Homecoming and Captain Marvel.

$200M Coming by Friday

With a five-day domestic total of $155 million, Superman is speeding toward $200 million by Friday, putting the DCU reboot in strong shape ahead of the weekend.

The $17.1M Tuesday now puts Superman at $250M worldwide.
