MOSCOW, ID – The Idaho Vandals just had a basketball player receive some preseason recognition.
Blue Ribbon College Basketball yearbook announcing its preseason accolades for the Big Sky Conference.
Vandals Kolton Mitchell was named to the preseason All-Big Sky team.
Mitchell is entering his third season with Idaho and has emerged as a top point guard.
In 33 games started in the 2024-25 season, he averaged 11.1 points and shot an efficient 40 percent from the floor with 3.5 assists.
He was making some Vandals history last season with the first freshman since 2018 to make 5 or more threes in a game.
Also led the Big Sky Conference in free throw percentage in making 89.5% of his attempts, just second best in Vandal’s history.
Vandals will open their season in Boise, taking on the Broncos on October 17th.
