Once you’ve established a foothold in the NBA in NBA 2K26 MyCareer, you’ll move on to other projects off the court to help develop your brand while earning VC along the way. One NBA 2K26 MyCareer quest requires you to play in the FIBA Tournament, but you can only access it after reaching a certain milestone in your career.
The FIBA tournament is an offseason activity that gives you the chance to team up with other NBA players to take on teams from around the world. You’ll have to play FIBA games to complete Merchandising Tier 7, and it’s also a requirement for MyPlayer Endorsement objectives. You’ll earn thousands of VC if you can make it to the FIBA Tournament, so it’s worth the wait.
How to Play in a FIBA Tournament in NBA 2K26
FIBA games are exclusively available during the offseason in NBA 2K26. After your first professional season in the NBA, you’ll have the chance to play your first FIBA game. The FIBA Tournament will happen after you complete your second NBA season, so there are quite a few games ahead of you.
Once you’ve completed your second NBA season, you’ll find the FIBA games in the MyCareer tab of the menu with other offseason activities. Just choose to play your next game, and it’ll start a FIBA match for you. You can choose any opponent you want if it’s not a tournament year, but the FIBA tournament bracket after your second season is determined ahead of time.
FIBA matches gather some of the best basketball talent from around the globe, so make sure you’re prepared with upgraded attributes and Takeovers. You have to win the FIBA Tournament or any three FIBA games in order to complete Merchandising Tier 7, so losing isn’t an option unless you want to sit through a whole other NBA season waiting for the chance to play FIBA games again.
If you win your FIBA games, you’ll take home several thousand VC that you can use to upgrade your player’s attributes, buy new clothing items, or rip open some packs in MyTeam. It’s a long grind to reach that point, but you’ll also earn REP, VC, and other rewards as you play key NBA games and complete quests in the City.
