The Warriors forward confidently declared that Golden State will capture the NBA title in the 2025-26 season.
Green shared his bold outlook during a recent appearance on Kai Cenat’s stream, where the discussion also turned toward the heated GOAT debate between Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Green explained why he believes James stands above Jordan.
“People threw the towel in on JR Smith. As talented as he was, people threw in the towel on him. It’s not just JR, though. If you look at some of the guys he had to lead. JR had talent, no question, but people threw the towel in on him, though. When people throw the towel in on you in this league, it’s over. People threw in the towel on JR, and Bron was like, “Nah, this man can shoot, and he can defend; I can do something with that,” Green said.
The Warriors star then turned his focus to Matthew Dellavedova to emphasize LeBron’s greatness.
“I don’t think MJ had many guys that went through that. (Matthew Dellavedova) stinks. He won two games in the NBA Finals with him. I got a lot of respect for Delly… Stinks! Completely stinks. To win with guys like that. MJ wasn’t winning with Matthew Dellavedova,” he added.
This isn’t the first time Green has been vocal about his stance. Back in 2022, he openly ranked LeBron as the greatest player of all time and placed Jordan second on his list of top five NBA players ever.
