A Spartanburg, South Carolina, man has been arrested after he shot his ex-girlfriend outside a Walmart on Tuesday night, according to police. Police said around 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a domestic-related shooting in the parking lot of the Dorman Center Walmart.According to police, an officer working a security detail inside the store reported hearing multiple gunshots coming from the parking lot. The officer immediately went outside and found a woman near the police vehicle with a gunshot wound. The woman told the officer that the shooter was her ex-boyfriend. A preliminary investigation indicates that the suspect began firing at the victim from his vehicle as she drove through the parking lot. The victim attempted to drive toward the front entrance of Walmart, where the officer’s patrol car was parked. When the victim got out of her vehicle to reach the officer, she was hit again by gunfire.Officers said the suspect sped away in a gray, newer model sedan.The victim was taken by EMS to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries. Police said on Wednesday that the suspect, Brandon Dewavn Parker, 41, was arrested near Lexington, Ky. in the same clothes he was wearing during the shooting. They said a gun similar to the one used was also found in his vehicle. Parker is facing an attempted murder charge.
