Welcome to FLORIDA TODAY Space Team live coverage of tonight’s SpaceX Nusantara Lima mission — which has been postponed for the third night in a row from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

First, persistent rainfall and towering clouds sweeping across Florida forced back-to-back scrubs Monday and Tuesday as SpaceX crews unsuccessfully tried to launch the Falcon 9 rocket.

Then, SpaceX had targeted 8 p.m. to make a third bid at launching the Indonesian communications satellite into geosynchronous transfer orbit.

But instead, tonight’s launch was scrubbed. The Space Force’s 45th Weather Squadron only predicted 30% odds of favorable conditions early during the launch window, increasing slightly to 45% by the end. Cumulus clouds, anvil clouds and surface electric fields loomed as meteorological threats.

Per SpaceX’s website, the Nusantara Lima mission’s new launch window extends from 7:49 p.m. to 10:10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11.
