Summer vacation is over, and TV is getting back to work. This September’s TV renewal and cancellation announcements kicked off with the news that The Paper, Peacock’s new spin-off of The Office, has already been renewed for Season 2. The mockumentary comedy, which was co-created by The Office’s Greg Daniels, follows the ragtag staff of a struggling Midwestern newspaper. And like the fictional journalists of The Paper, TV Guide is tracking the headlines, bringing you the latest updates on which shows will return and which have been axed.
So far, this month’s other renewals include Apple TV+’s sci-fi epic Foundation, starring Jared Harris and Lee Pace; Prime Video’s Overcompensating, the college comedy from Benito Skinner; and Netflix’s Chuck Lorre-produced sitcom Leanne, starring and co-created by Leanne Morgan.
Whether you’re looking to celebrate your favorites or mourn the loss of something on your regular rotation, we’re keeping tabs on all the shows that have been canceled or renewed in September below.Â
