CLEVELAND, Ohio — Two of the lowest-scoring teams in the big leagues, each trying reach the postseason through the wild-card portal, did what they do best Thursday night at Progressive Field.
The Guardians and Royals tried their hardest to ignore all forms of offense until rookie C.J. Kayfus hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning to give the Guardians a 3-2 win.
