Bristol Group 1 Practice Notes

Brad Keselowski – Keselowski seemed to have pretty good pace in practice. In Group 1, his 20-lap average was the 5th best. Brad Keselowski ran right near the top of the track late, but his pace was said to be off when he ran up there. It was said to be improving though. Keselowski said the tires will run all day, but the big question is what will happen when the track cools off. Keselowski thought they were pretty close.

Justin Haley – Justin Haley had really good takeoff speed in practice. In Group 1, Haley had the best 5,10 and 15-lap averages. In terms of 25 and 30-lap averages, he ranked 3rd in Group 1. Haley ran 78 laps so he should have a good feel for his car. Haley said the tire felt like it always has.

AJ Allmendinger – Allmendinger had the best 20-lap average in Group 1. In terms of 25 and 30-lap averages, he ranked 2nd in the group. Allmendinger said his car was pretty good in practice.

Kyle Busch – Kyle Busch’s car was speculated to not be where he wanted it since he came to pit road early after completing just 10-laps. His 10-lap average was far down on the speed charts.

Carson Hocevar – In Group 1, Hocevar had the 4th best 30-lap average. Hocevar felt like there really wasn’t any tire fall off or wear.
