We’ve known for a couple of days, since the announcements leaked from the Saudi General Entertainment Authority side that WrestleMania would be heading to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2027.
WWE posted a live stream for a “Breaking News Special Announcement” today (Sept. 12) as rumors swirled about how much Advisor to the Crown Prince, GEA Chairman, and Riyadh Season head Turki Al-Sheikh would pay WWE and some of its stars for WrestleMania 43 in the KSA. We didn’t get into those details at the Joe Tessitore-hosted presentation, but we did get confirmation that the biggest show in professional wrestling will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
No specific date was mentioned for the show (Riyadh Season is typically from October to March, but it’s also the name Al-Sheikh is promoting boxing matches under, so it may not mean anything schedule-wise). WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque said the deal for WrestleMania 43 was put together by His Excellency Al-Sheikh and WWE President Nick Khan, and would take the WWE’s partnership with the Saudis “to a new level”.
The Game also said “we could not be more excited” for the “opportunity to show the world… that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the world, and excites fans from everywhere.”
Following the announcement, Tessitore spoke with the WWE officials and talent assembled on stage, which included The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Seth Rollins, Logan Paul, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Stephanie Vaquer and Charlotte Flair.
