Andrew Thomas appears to be making progress, just not enough of it to be ready Sunday to make his 2025 debut against the Cowboys.
The Giants left tackle practiced on a limited basis for the second straight day Friday, but he was still listed as doubtful, making it unlikely he will be active.
“He is in the rehab mode, if you will. There are days we back off of him,” coach Brian Daboll said. “These two days here were important in terms of team reps, of going out there and doing the things he has to do to play at his position. I know he feels pretty good after [Thursday]. Again, that’s why we’ll see where he’s at today. Of course, you’d like him out here the whole time, but that’s part of his process relative to trying to get him back out of the field.”
Thomas missed the entire preseason recovering from surgery to repair a Lisfranc fracture suffered against the Bengals last October, just six games into the 2024 season. It’s been 11 months since he appeared in a game.

The Giants sorely missed Thomas in Week 1 against the Commanders. The offense managed just two field goals, an anemic 3.2 yards per rush and quarterback Russell Wilson was sacked twice and hit eight times. His replacement, James Hudson III, struggled along with the rest of the offensive line.
“Like anything, it was pretty obvious there are things to improve on,” offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo said. “We’ll get out there and we’ll do it. It’s a good opportunity against a really good front versus Dallas. There’s no crying over spilled milk. You got to move on and go play.”

Receiver Wan’Dale Robinson was limited for the second straight day and is questionable.
Linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (calf) is out and defensive lineman Rakeem Nunez-Roches (foot) is doubtful. Receiver Darius Slayton was limited, but is expected to be active.
The Cowboys ruled out starting cornerback DaRon Bland (foot) as expected. He didn’t practice all week.
