ROCHESTER, Minn. — Rochester Public Utilities (RPU) has issued a Boil Water Advisory for the Willow Heights High Level pressure zone following a temporary loss of water pressure on Friday morning. The loss occurred due to a power outage after a tree fell on a power line in the southwest area.
RPU is conducting water quality tests, with results expected within 24 hours. Residents are advised to boil water for at least one minute before cooling it for use, or to use bottled water. This precaution is necessary for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, and preparing food.
Inadequately treated water may contain harmful organisms that can cause symptoms like nausea and diarrhea. Residents experiencing persistent symptoms should seek medical advice.
