Wild video from two Lakeview residents show a large coyote roaming in a highly populated neighborhood. The video shows the coyote roaming on General Haig and Emerald Streets near where the levee meets the property lines. The coyote was seen running towards the Lakeview Fire House and was also spotted running right past a person resting under a tree in Fleur De Lis Park. Residents on social media voiced their concerns about pets and children getting hurt. The coyote was reported to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. According to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, agents do not trap or loan traps. Residents who see coyotes are asked to contact a nuisance wildlife control operator.
