Dwyane Wade stirs the pot with his hot take on Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson - Fans seem to disagreeA’ja Wilson (Image via X) Dwyane Wade has a brilliant mind when it comes to basketball. He is regarded as the biggest legend of the NBA franchise, Miami Heat – even though GOAT candidate LeBron James once played for that team. So when he gives his opinion on the game, fans listen. His latest take though, has stirred the pot with some fans – after Wade said that Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson could beat a few NBA players in 1-on-1 match-ups.

Dwyane Wade thinks quite highly of WNBA star A’ja Wilson

Though, he did not take any names – Dwyane Wade recently gave his opinion on WNBA star, A’ja Wilson – who is running hot to secure the MVP of the season nod. In a conversation about whether a “professional woman can beat a professional man,” Wade named Wilson as someone who is smart enough to take on a few of her male counterparts. He said:”There are a few. A’ja Wilson can get a couple. She is smart. One thing about a lot of basketball players, they are not smart … Get into a 1-on-1 with someone like A’ja Wilson, who knows how to play basketball, who’s got crazy footwork and all that, your a** is gonna get torn up if you don’t know the game.”He spoke further on the matter, saying:”This isn’t just about being an athlete. You know what I’m saying? Like, ‘I jump higher than you.’ That’s not gonna be the thing. So she can definitely cook.”The Miami Heat legend, who is a three-time NBA champion, showered high praises on the Aces star, who averaged 23.4 points, 10.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.6 steals per game this season. The Aces are currently tied 1-1 with the Seattle Storms in Round 1 of the Playoffs, and will be facing them one last time to decide who moves forward to the semifinals, and whose championship dreams come to an end for the season.

Fans are not too keen on Dwyane Wade’s assessment

While Dwyane Wade’s opinion, when it comes to the game, is highly regarded, this particular one did not sit right with a lot of fans. The physicality of the game is a big factor in basketball – so a matchup between a male and a female professional, especially when it comes to 1v1, will be very uneven. The fact that Wade thinks A’ja Wilson, who is no doubt one of the top talents of the WNBA, can beat her NBA counterparts, has a few people skeptical. Wilson is a three-time WNBA MVP, and as many believe, could have her fourth by the end of this season. Her ability to score from the inside as well as the outside only adds to her confidence on the court. But is that really enough to tackle someone from the NBA? The fans and Dwyane Wade can just agree to disagree on the matter for now. Also Read: Paige Bueckers hooksteps her way through a guard of honor to receive WNBA Rookie of the Year award
