We live in a technologically advanced era, but is it so advanced that replacement body parts are common, even grown from 3D printers? What does it mean to be human when body parts may come from printers or animals?  Join bestseller Mary Roach, author of “Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers,” among other titles, as she talks about her new book “Replaceable You: Adventures in Human Anatomy.” There will be a book signing to follow. Christina Larson, science writer for the Associated Press Global Health and Science team, will moderate.

Mary Roach is the author of seven best-selling works of nonfiction, including “Grunt,” “Stiff,” and, most recently, “Fuzz.” Her writing has appeared in National Geographic and the New York Times Magazine, among other publications. She lives in California.

Katherine Rundell is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of “Impossible Creatures” and “The Poisoned King.” Her other books for children include “Rooftoppers,” “Cartwheeling in Thunderstorms,” “The Wolf Wilder,” “The Explorer” and “The Good Thieves.” For adult readers, Rundell has written “Vanishing Treasures: A Bestiary of Extraordinary Endangered Creatures” and “Super-Infinite: The Transformations of John Donne,” which won the Baillie Gifford Prize for Non-Fiction. She was the recipient of the British Book Award for Book of the Year and Author of the Year. She grew up in Zimbabwe, Brussels and London, and is currently a Fellow of St. Catherine’s College, Oxford.
