Cooper, who is still on the run, is charged with attempted murder. On Thursday, officials posted there was a potential sighting of Cooper in Dover, Kentucky.WLWT obtained a picture of Cooper Thursday, caught on a Dover trail camera. A half hour later, police were seen in the same spot. “There’s also an abandoned cabin up on that hill. So I’m wondering if he’s trying to camp out in somewhere up there,” Allie Gordley said.Police say Cooper is “potentially armed and dangerous” asking residents in the area to lock their doors and windows and not to answer the door to anyone unfamiliar.”He’s in his home town right now,” Dover resident Jerry Harding said. “If he’s still in Dover, this is his home area and he knows it like the back of his hand. So he’s got an advantage on them.”Investigators say Cooper is familiar with the area, which is making the search difficult. Authorities remind the public to call 911 if they see him and do not approach.
