Asian suppliers to Intel Corp. saw their shares climb Friday after the US tech firm’s stock jumped 23% following news of a $5 billion investment by chipmaker Nvidia Corp.

Japanese chip gear maker Lasertec Corp., which gets almost a third of its revenue from Intel, according to Bloomberg-compiled data, soared as much as 15% in Tokyo in the biggest increase since April. Peer Ibiden Co. gained 12% at one point, and fellow Intel suppliers Tokyo Electron Ltd., Screen Holdings Co. and Shin-Etsu Chemical Co. also rose.
