PHOENIX – It’s easy after a team falls well below its anticipated potential to find someone or something to blame.
The head coach is almost always — fair or not — the easiest target. A lot of times in the debates and commentary that spews on social media, the humanity of the team’s leader gets lost.
But Liberty stars stood ten toes down in their support of coach Sandy Brondello late Friday night after their season-ending Game 3 loss to the Mercury.
“I mean to anybody that kind of questions Sandy being here, like, this is a resilient group,” Breanna Stewart said. “She has our back and we have hers.”
