Birmingham’s Railroad Park Foundation on Sept. 28 will host a fundraising picnic featuring live music and food trucks.
“Picnic at Railroad Park will incorporate live music, children’s activities, food & drink and more to enjoy our 19 acres – all activities are specifically designed to create excitement about Railroad Park & Birmingham!” the event site reads.
“We’ve experienced how important access to greenspace is for emotional & physical well-being, as well as maintaining a sense of community. Your support has a big impact in helping Railroad Park thrive as a vibrant, unifying greenspace now and for many years to come.”
The event will take place at the park from 1-5 p.m. and is free to attend.
The event will feature performances by The Birmingham Youth & Young Adult Fellowship Choir, recent semifinalists on “America’s Got Talent,” and Grammy Award winning Birmingham native Pynk Beard.
The picnic will also offer a children’s area with lawn games and a local merchant showcase.
