Stefanos Tsitsipas continued his season at the Davis Cup earlier this month, where his Greece side fell to Brazil before the Final 8 qualifying stage.
Tsitsipas committed to the Davis Cup despite reaggravating a back issue at the US Open, where he fell in the second round.
The Greek player completed a disappointing Grand Slam season in New York, having also fallen in the French Open second round.
But bigger disappointment was experienced at the Australian Open and Wimbledon, where he suffered shock first round exits.
Similar struggles then took place at the Davis Cup, where he lost to Joao Fonseca as Brazil defeated Greece 3-1.

There were reports that Tsitsipas had undergone surgery on his back earlier this month, but the Greek star has now quelled those reports with an update on social media.
He wrote on his Instagram story: “Dear friends and supporters, in light of recent reports, I would like to clarify that I have not undergone back surgery and I am doing well.

It truly is a bizarre situation where Tsitsipas has had to deny reports of surgery, with such reports not doing anyone any favours.
Fortunately they were misleading, although the 27-year-old will continue his absence on the ATP Tour after withdrawing from the China Open.
The two-time Grand Slam runner-up will hopefully be back playing as soon as possible, as he looks to build on his lone success from earlier this season, which comprises 22 wins and 18 losses so far.
He claimed his 12th career title in Dubai in March, but the former world number three has fallen to 27th in the ATP rankings.
