The actor Tom Holland has reportedly been injured while filming Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Why It Matters

Spider-Man is one of the most popular superheroes in comic history, with the comic book having inspired multiple films, animated series and critically acclaimed video games.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks Holland’s fourth Spider-Man movie, following Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home. The latter is considered to be one of the best Marvel films and has grossed $1.93 billion.

However, it is his eighth film as the Wall-Crawler, as he has played Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame and Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

Holland suffered a mild concussion on the set of the new Spider-Man movie on Friday, according to Variety. He was reportedly injured while performing a stunt, and suffered the concussion after he hit his head.

A woman who is believed to be a stunt double was taken to the hospital as well, according to The Sun.

The 29-year-old is now set to take a break from filming as a precaution, before returning in a few days.
