An Orlando home that belonged to the famed artist and Disney Imagineer Cicero Greathouse and his wife, Que Throm, has just hit the market.
Located at 921 S. Mills Ave., the Mayan Revival-style lakefront home dubbed Casa Querencia was designed and built by the husband-and-wife pair of artists. Its look was inspired by the Mexican city of San Miguel de Allende, per the listing.
It was built in 2003, and spans a total 3,871 square feet with two stories, three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms.
The home sits behind a front gate inspired by the Maitland Art Center, says the Art and History Museums of Maitland executive director Danielle Thomas. The couple’s estate is also funding the construction of the museum’s new education studios, which will bear the Greathouse’s namesake.
Inside, the residence boasts intricate stained glass windows, custom-colored cement flooring, Talavera tiles, gallery-style walls, a fireplace and plenty more architectural highlights throughout. Outside is a walled-in courtyard, a lanai and saltwater swimming pool.
The Greathouses previously resided at another area home, also for sale now, in Winter Park at 1391 Richmond Road.
The Orlando home is listed for $1,465,000 and the listing agent is Kim Wood with Coldwell Banker Residential Realty.
