According to a post by HoopsHype, Darrell Comer, the senior VC of CSE Talent, confirmed the deal made between the Detroit Pistons and Quincy Olivari. The details of the contract have not yet been disclosed. However, according to several reports, the former Los Angeles Lakers point guard has agreed to a training camp. This gives the rookie a chance to earn himself a spot in the Pistons’ roster, granted his performance impresses enough people. Even if Quincy Olivari does not make it to the final roster, there is still a chance for the young talent to earn a two-way contract with the team. This allows him to divide his time playing for both the NBA and the G League. Quincy Olivari made his official NBA debut with the Los Angeles Lakers as a point guard. He played in just two games with the Lakers before the team waived him. Although he played for just a total of ten minutes with the Lakers, the rookie still scored three points and one assist.

The 24-year-old player joined the South Bay Lakers in 2025. While playing with the South Bay Lakers, he averaged 17.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.4 assists. Additionally, Olivari has also averaged 40.6% from 3-point range. His preseason performance with the Los Angeles Lakers back in 2024 garnered the attention of fans and eventually led him to a two-way contract. Fans of Olivari were saddened to hear about his waiver from the Lakers but stayed optimistic that Olivari would make his way into the league. The rising talent has also been signed to Stephen Curry’s Under Armour brand in December 2024. This makes Olivari the second-ever player to be signed to Under Armour, a feat he does not take for granted since he has been vocal about his love for Stephen Curry.
