Lompoc girls flag football team wins
Tara Terrones threw three touchdown passes, rushed for two more and the Braves rolled to a 33-0 non-league win against Madera South at Huyck Stadium in Lompoc Monday night.
Terrones threw her three touchdown passes to Madison Caballeros.
Terrones completed one extra point conversion pass to Brynn Reyna and another to Mia Jansen. Terrones also ran for one extra point.
Tess Terrones intercepted a pass for the Braves.
At press time, Lompoc was scheduled to play a Mountain League game at San Luis Obispo Tuesday then host Paso Robles in another league game Oct. 1.
Girls golf
Atascadero wins at Blacklake
Medalist Olivia Swindell shot an 89 and led the Greyhounds to a win at Sunset League Mini Tournament No. 2 at the Blacklake Golf Course in Nipomo Monday.
Atascadero won with a team score of 492 and moved into first place in the league standings. Pioneer Valley finished second at 535, Cabrillo placed third at 538, Lompoc was fourth at 541 and Orcutt Academy finished fifth at 543.
Atascadero’s Brooke Baldwin and Lexie Curiel of Pioneer Valley tied for second place individually at 90. Priscilla Allison of Atascadero and Kaydence Fredrich of Lompoc rounded out the individual top five. Both shot a 95.
Evie Biles (100) and Rosalyn Gibbons (118) rounded out the Atascadero team scoring. Ava Ocampo led Cabrillo with a 96, and Camryn Montgomery led Orcutt Academy with a 100.
After two tournaments, Atascadero has nine points. Lompoc is in second place with seven, and Pioneer Valley is third with six. Â

Santa Ynez goes 2-3
The Pirates lost 9-3 at Morro Bay in a Sunset League game Sept. 17 then went 2-2 at the Hanford Sierra Pacific Tournament that took place Friday and Saturday.
At the Sierra Pacific Tournament, the Pirates lost 6-3 to Visalia El Diamante and 14-3 to Fresno Edison, and defeated Bakersfield Frontier 12-3 and Visalia Golden West 9-8.
Paige Reynolds scored six Santa Ynez goals total in the tournament, including three against Golden West. Adriana Bilac scored four goals against Frontier, and Juliette Kerr scored three. Kerr scored four goals total in the tournament.
Santa Ynez goalkeeper Rylan Agin made 24 saves total in the first three Santa Ynez tournament games. The Pirates will play a Sunset League game at Paso Robles Oct. 1.
Men’s soccer
Hancock 4, Citrus 0
Jared Moreno tallied twice, and Pablo Resendiz and Juan Zarate both scored once as the Bulldogs (3-3-3) beat the Owls (0-7-1) in a non-league game at Hancock Friday.
Hancock goalkeeper Max Brewster needed to make just one save. Hancock will play a non-conference game at Glendale Friday at 6:30 p.m.
Women’s soccer
College of the Canyons 4, Hancock 0
The Bulldogs (1-3-4) didn’t get off a shot on goal in this non-conference game at Hancock Friday, and the Cougars (5-0-0) had little trouble staying unbeaten and untied.
Four of the six shots the Cougars took went in for a goal. Hancock will host Santa Barbara Friday at 4 p.m. in the Bulldogs’ Western State Conference North Division opener. Â
