HOUSTON – The Cy-Fair Fire Department is issuing a warning for those attending the Cardi B meet and greet at the Cypress Walmart.

What we know:
Lieutenant Eddie Cruz with the Cy-Fair Fire Department said one person was taken to the hospital for a medical emergency that wasn’t heat related. Initially, authorities said several people had been taken to the hospital due to the heat.
Officials did say they have had some heat-related issues, but those people only needed to be cooled down.
Two ambobuses are being used as cooling centers.
Officials stated other county agencies are on standby for mutual aid.
Officials are urging those attending to stay hydrated, dress appropriately, recognize the signs of heat-related illness, take breaks, and find shade if possible and use an umbrella.
What we don’t know:
Officials did not provide the person’s condition.
