Multiple injuries and fatalities were reported Wednesday morning after a shooting at the Dallas Immigration and Customs Enforcement office, a federal government official confirmed.

More than 40 police units responded about 6:40 a.m. to the scene in the 8100 block of North Stemmons Freeway in the Stemmons Corridor, according to a Dallas police call log.

U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem wrote on X that details are still emerging, but said the shooter is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

It was not immediately clear how many people were shot.

“While we don’t know motive yet, we know that our ICE law enforcement is facing unprecedented violence against them,” Noem wrote. “It must stop. Please pray for the victims and their families.”
