He said he’s noticed coyotes in the area for years, but the size of the two spotted recently has heightened concerns. He posted a sign on the side of the road earlier this month that reads, “$500 Bounty 2 Coyotes.””There is a coyote problem. There’s a lot of them and they howl and they get into mischief and kill animals,” Clark said. “There’s two 90-pounders running around, light silver.””What inspired you to put a bounty on them?” WISN 12 News Kendall Keys asked.”Because I don’t want my cat hurt,” Clark said. Police directed WISN 12 News to the Department of Natural Resources regarding the legality of such a bounty. According to Wisconsin Hunting Regulations, there is a “continuous open season” for coyotes, though it is illegal to bait coyotes for the purpose of hunting.”I’m not here to tell anybody how to do it.
