It’s no secret that Joey Logano has emerged as the face of NASCAR since the start of its next-gen era. Chase Elliott might be the most popular driver, but Logano’s been the most dominant, winning two championships in the three years of the next-gen car. That’s probably also why the 2025 NASCAR commercial for the Daytona 500 was so Logano-focused.

But being the face of NASCAR comes with a lot of responsibility. Sure, the sport’s declining popularity has been a point of contention, but those who have stuck with NASCAR look up to the drivers as role models and take their word at face value. The Ad Council took advantage of this in their recent Public Service Announcement.

Joey Logano and His Daughter Collaborate for Child Passenger Safety Week

Logano is involved in many off-track activities with his foundation, the Joey Logano Foundation, which primarily focuses on youth and children. The Connecticut native is a father of three, so subjects related to children are often close to his heart. And what could be more important than their safety?

Recently, the three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion teamed up with the Ad Council and NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) to roll out a fresh PSA during Child Passenger Safety Week. The heartfelt video of Logano and his daughter is taking the internet by storm.

NASCAR Journalist Joseph Srigley shared the update on his X handle, writing, “@JoeyLogano has partnered with @AdCouncil and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for a ‘Child Passenger Safety Week’ PSA, reminding parents to secure kids in the proper car seat. The 15-second ad includes an appearance from Logano’s daughter, Emilia:”

This PSA was created to make parents aware of their children’s safety while traveling on the road. As per figures shared by Racing America from the NHTSA, using a car seat can lower the risk of a fatal injury in a passenger vehicle crash by 71% for infants and 54% for toddlers, emphasizing the need for proper selection and installation.

Also, not just any car seat will do; it has to be perfectly selected based on your car and your child. Logano, a father of three, has learned this through multiple years of experience.

He said, “I’m a father of three kids, and we use car seats every day. Knowing when to transition to the next one up varied for each kid. Having kids in the wrong seat can come with negative consequences, and I want to inspire other parents to ensure they know the basics on choosing the correct seat and how to properly buckle in their kids.”
