David Muoka is determined that his third season of professional basketball will be a breakout year, despite battling the disappointment of being signed and waived by the Brooklyn Nets in the space of 24 hours.
Now, instead of running out at the Barclays Centre, the Hongkonger will turn out for the NBA’s G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets, for a second time.
Speaking to the Post during an event at his old school on Friday, Muoka said the coming G League season, which tips off on November 7, did not “feel like a make-or-break” one for him, and his expectations and ambitions remained the same.

“I have a lot of interests elsewhere, like in Europe and in Asia,” he said. “Chinese and Japanese teams, those options were there. Even some Australian NBL teams were pursuing me really hard this off-season, and EuroLeague teams.
