The top-priced lamb, boasting an exceptional index of 201, was snapped up by David Spalding of Balconnel, Brechin. Two other lambs achieved £1600. A son of Bankhouse’s stock sire 7283 sold to Andrew Tullie, Whitchesters, Hawick.

The Oglesby family of Colt Park Farm, Morpeth secured the other. This tup is by Bankhouse’s promising new stock sire, sourced from Tom and Sandy Welsh, and ranks within the top 5% of the breed.
Three of the lambs sold were among the top 10 in the UK, with a further seven in the top 1%, underscoring the depth of quality genetics on offer.
In total, 10 lots exceeded £1000, with the sale achieving an average of £668 across the board. The only shearling offered on the day sold for £100.
