The Arizona Wildcats’ run of covering the spread came to an end Saturday with a double-digit loss at Iowa State in a game oddsmakers thought would be closer.

Bookmakers, however, aren’t holding the Wildcats’ result against Iowa State against them in setting the spread for this Saturday’s contest vs. Oklahoma State.

Arizona has opened as a 19.5-point favorite vs. Oklahoma State, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The over/under is 53.5 points. The game will kick off at Arizona Stadium noon PST on TNT Sports.

Arizona is 9-1 overall and 5-4-1 against the spread (ATS) in its last 10 games as a favorite of at least 19 points, dating back to 2017. The lone loss over that stretch came to NAU in 2021.

Arizona will try cover as a home favorite in the month of October after going 0-3 in such situations last year.

Arizona (3-1) faces an Oklahoma State squad that is coming off a 45-27 home loss to Baylor less than a week after firing head coach Mike Gundy. The Cowboys also have losses of 19-12 to Tulsa and 69-3 to Oregon. Oklahoma State is allowing 35 points per game, worst among all Power 4 conference programs.

Oklahoma State has lost its last six games as an underdog of at least two touchdowns.
