Six weeks ago, it was unfathomable to think of Micah Parsons as anything but a Dallas Cowboy, even as his contract standoff with Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones continued. Even as Parsons’ war of words with Jones grew more publicly hostile, Cowboys fans consoled themselves by remembering that just last year, contract standoffs with CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott ended with new deals for both stars to remain Cowboys just before the regular season started.
Then, just like that, Parsons was gone — sent off to Green Bay for defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round picks.
