Four-star wing Ralph Scott is announcing his college decision on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 247sports’ Travis Branham reported Sunday afternoon. Scott is down to a top four of Houston, Purdue, Tennessee and Texas A&M after visiting all four schools earlier this fall. He originally planned on visiting Syracuse next month before cancelling that visit.
Scott ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 37 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-7 wing also ranks as the No. 17 small forward in his class.
A Bermuda native who plays his prep basketball at IMG Academy in Florida. A talented wing scorer, Tennessee is selling Scott on being the next great wing to play for Rick Barnes.
“They were saying Kevin Durant, Dalton Knecht where I can get open shots,” Scott told RTI after his visit. “Get into the midrange. The same type of stuff that Nate Ament is going to be doing. Getting open shots, getting to the rim and playing defense one through five. Being a pest.”

Scott visited Tennessee back two weeks ago the same weekend that Tennessee football hosted Georgia in a thriller at Neyland Stadium. The blue-chip recruit came away surprised by head coach Rick Barnes personality.
“Impressions before (the visit) were that he seemed like a really serious coach, seeing him on TV and all that,” Scott said. “Obviously the legacy of, coaching a great player like KD, TJ Ford, Marcus Alldridge, all those great players. But in person he’s a really down to earth guy. I like his belief too. His faith is really nice.”
Tennessee basketball is still looking for its first commitment in the 2026 recruiting cycle but is in the midst of a run of fall official visits.
To this point, Tennessee has hosted five-star point guard Miles Sadler, four-star wing Bo Ogden and four-star power forward Latrell ALlmond. The Vols also have official visits scheduled with five-star point guard Deron Rippey Jr, five-star wing Bryson Howard, five-star forward Christian Collins Jr, four-star wing Bo Ogden, four-star wing Manny Green, four-star shooting guard Jasiah Jervis and four-star power forward Cody Peck for later this fall.
