The Red Sox beat the Yankees 3-1 in Game 1 of the AL Wild Card round Tuesday evening. The Sox were down 0-1 before scoring two runs in the 7th inning after a hit from Masataka Yoshida.The Red Sox scored another run at the top of the 9th inning with a double from Alex Bregman, sending Trevor Story home.In the bottom of the 9th inning, the Yankees had bases loaded before Aroldis Chapman struck out Trent Grisham, solidifying the win.The Red Sox will have to win Wednesday night’s game to advance to the ALDS against the Toronto Blue Jays. If not, the series will move to a tiebreaker third game on Thursday night, also at Yankee Stadium.
