The trio posed for photos alongside Lisa Ann Walter at the ceremony, and Drescher gave a speech about the honor.

“The things you hear about Hollywood is all true. It’s the land of dreams, but staying grounded and authentic is imperative,” Drescher said. “Keeping old friends with you, close to you, and never forgetting where you came from is essential.”

Drescher said that learning to love yourself, “regardless of rejection or praise,” is important.

“We are very imperfect beings, learning and growing along the way through all the pitfalls and mistakes made,” she said. “To do it right, we must make kindness and compassion our compass.”

Drescher was nominated for two Golden Globes and two Emmy Awards for her role on “The Nanny,” which she also co-created and executive produced. She has also starred in movies like “This Is Spinal Tap,” “Doctor Detroit” and more, and is set to appear in the upcoming film “Marty Supreme” with Timothée Chalamet.

Tom and Zima also gave a joint speech for Drescher at the ceremony, with Tom calling Drescher “loud, strong, confident, colorful, kind.”

“Fran, I love you. I’ve always looked up to you, even though I had to wear flats,” Tom joked. “You are my mentor and I just love you. Congratulations!”

Zima said Drescher wasn’t just a household name, clarifying that she is the household.

“She’s the glamorous aunt, the no-nonsense mom, the best friend who tells you when your outfit needs a little more leopard print, and the neighbor whose laugh you can hear through the drywall,” Zima said.

“Today, we honor Fran for all she’s given us — the laughs, the glamour, the advocacy, the heart and the very real reminder that being loud, being proud and being yourself is the most powerful thing that you can be,” she added.

Drescher’s star is the 2,822nd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, according to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
