Diane Miller, 94, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. She
was born on July 18, 1931, in Manchester to Dale and Opal (Smith) Paris, graduated from Manchester High School in 1949 and Gates Business College in Waterloo. The couple later returned to Manchester in 1987.

Beginning in 1997, Diane dedicated herself to the American Red Cross, serving both locally and nationwide. She answered the call during national tragedies, including the aftermath of 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, and the Joplin tornadoes. Known for her
compassion and tireless service, she provided meals and support to countless disaster survivors and relief workers.
Diane was an active member of the Eastern Star and Manchester Methodist Church, where she served faithfully in many roles, including Mission Chair and Sewing Circle.

She is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Wayne) Birkenholz and Jill Miller of Manchester; eight grandchildren, Dan (Ruth)
Wilhelm of Baxter, Minnesota, Jon (Emie) Wilhelm of Mantorville, Minnesota, David (Melissa) Wilhelm of Des Moines, Chris
Weber of West Salem, Wisconsin, Tim (Sheryle) Miller of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Rebecca Miller of Dyersville, Rachael
(Kris) Halweg of Manchester, and Ryan Miller (Neka Tuve) of Waterloo; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild;
and her niece, Roxelle Paris of Ankeny.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry; infant daughter, Paris; brother, Joe; and other beloved family
members.

Nana, resilient, independent, adventurous, resourceful and creative; sounds more like a recruiting poster for Special Forces
than a grandmother.
