With his fifth win of 2025 Sunday at the Charlotte Roval, SVG earned his sixth career victory, enough to tie him with three other active racers; Chris Buescher, Trackhouse Racing teammate Ross Chastain, and Austin Dillon.
Ahead of the four drivers on the wins list at seven victories include Darel Dieringer, A.J. Foyt, Jamie McMurray, Jim Reed and Marshall Teague.
SVG’s wins in 2025 have come at all of the road course events, with the exception of Austin (COTA) in March.
“It’s just been unbelievable,” SVG said about his five-win season in his rookie campaign. “We executed all of them, except for COTA. I am just over the moon.”

SVG earned his first win of the year in June at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez road course in Mexico City road course, leading 60 out of the 100 laps.
Then in July, SVG posted back-to-back victories between the Chicago Street Course and Sonoma Raceway. SVG then posted his fourth win in August at Watkins Glen International.
SVG has claimed victory in five straight road course races, the first to do so since Jeff Gordon in 2000.
“I just try and do my best,” SVG said when pressed about being in the same company as Gordon. “But yeah, when I retire, I guess I’ll look at that stuff and be pretty stoked, but at the moment I just want to keep doing the best I can and try and add to that stuff.”
Prior to the start of the season, SVG was tied with a slew of drivers for 144th all-time on the wins list with his single victory.
