Las Vegas Motor Speedway continues to showcase some big names during its NASCAR race weekends. This pivotal playoff weekend, in particular will feature actor Glen Powell and wrestler Damian Priest in key roles.
According to a press release, Powell will serve as the grand marshal. The Texas native will grab the microphone and tell the drivers to start their engines. Priest will then climb into the pace car and lead the field on the opening laps before they take the green flag.
Powell heads to Las Vegas Motor Speedway as he takes on a new role. He previously starred in “Top Gun: Maverick” and “Twisters,” but now he will lead “The Running Man.” This film, releasing on Nov. 14, puts Powell in the heart of a competition television show where he has to survive for 30 days as professional assassins hunt him.
“It was an absolute yes when I was asked to serve as grand marshal for the South Point 400,” Powell said in a press release. “I’ve grown up around a love of speed and competition, and NASCAR racing embodies that passion like no other.
“To be part of this tradition in Las Vegas, with all the energy and excitement of the fans, is going to be an unforgettable experience.”
