Randy Arozarena will get a solid payday this offseason.

His contract with the Seattle Mariners isn’t up, but he’s heading into his last year of salary arbitration, which usually comes with it the highest wage amount a player will have earned so far in MLB.

MLB Trade Rumors has used an algorithm for more than a decade to project arbitration salaries as a tool to understand what a given team is looking at versus the salary cap. Its projection for Arozarena is $18.2 million.

Arozarena at this point would seem to be worth every penny.

He’s such an energetic leader for the Mariners, who won their first division title since 2021.

This season, Arozarena batted .238 with a .760 OPS. He had 32 doubles, 27 homers and 31 steals.

Arozarena only arrived in Seattle midway through the 2024 season in a trade with the Tampa Bay Rays. The Mariners were looking for an imposing presence in the heart of their lineup, and they got one.

Now, Arozarena is one piece of a potent lineup that has Seattle trying to win a World Series.

At the moment, his contract is surely the last thing on his mind. He and the rest of his Mariners teammates have legitimate reason to believe they can win the whole thing.

But when the offseason gets here, Randy will see a solid new paycheck, and that’s if the Mariners don’t proactively try to extend him first.

Either way, expect Arozarena to have eight figures in his salary for 2026.
