A hotly anticipated 4K collection including the original seven films from the A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise was released on September 30, with a special limited edition SteelBook version of the set from Amazon selling out before it was even officially announced. If you’re holding off on grabbing the regular 4K release in the hopes that more SteelBooks will be coming in stock, we’ve got a bummer of an update straight from Warner Bros. this afternoon.

“At this time there are no plans for additional product to be manufactured,” Bloody Disgusting has been told. As for those who pre-ordered the set in time but haven’t yet received it, “We haven’t heard anything about cancellations or delays in terms of manufacturing the collection.” So if you did get your pre-order in, hang tight. The set should be on its way to you soon.

Just 15,000 of the Nightmare on Elm Street SteelBook sets were manufactured, with seven individual SteelBook cases housed inside of a steel box decked out to look like Freddy’s sweater. The sets are now selling for upwards of $500 on eBay, and paying those inflated prices may unfortunately be the only way to get one of these limited sets going forward.

The good news? The standard 4K collection of the 7-film A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise is still available and will likely continue to be available, and that’s selling for just $99 over on Amazon at the moment. It’s the same set without the fancy SteelBook packaging, and it’s still a wonderful way to finally own the Elm Street saga in all its 4K Ultra HD glory.

The collection includes the original seven films – A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge (1985), A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987), A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988), A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child (1989), Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991), and Wes Craven’s New Nightmare (1994) – along with the uncut versions of A Nightmare on Elm Street and The Dream Child.

The collection also includes an alternate ending of Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare presented in anaglyph 3D and complete with 3D glasses in the physical collection.

Two BRAND NEW SPECIAL FEATURES for this set include:

Boiler Room Confessional: The king of slashers, Robert Englund, takes us on a journey through the dream world, sharing what inspired Freddy Krueger, his rise as a cultural icon, and the legacy of A Nightmare on Elm Street, plus his favorite kills, scenes, and more.
Freddy’s Footnotes: Robert Englund and original A Nightmare on Elm Street filmmakers revisit iconic scenes, revealing the movie magic and chaos behind our favorite nightmares. Pull back the curtain and relive epic moments through the eyes of those who made them.
