Heading into Week 7, it is all about digging to find a one-week play. Most CFF waiver wires have been picked through, but your league-mates focus on those BIG P4 schools. Not you! You realize the G5 is littered with players who can provide you with value for weeks to come!
As we march into Week 7, I am here to help you sift through your waivers with my Group of Five (G5) Waiver Wire Finds. For this article, I am looking for individuals who are 30% owned or less. Before we dig into our Week 7 G5 Waiver Wire Finds, let’s recap my Week 6 picks.
There’s no such thing as too much football! 2025 is the perfect time to add the college game to your fantasy football repertoire. Whether you want to create your own league or join an existing league, the Fantrax College Football Commissioner is the place to go!

G5 Waiver Wire Finds
Quarterbacks
Anthony Colandrea, University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV)
Fantrax Rostership: 29%
Total Fantasy Points: 119.8
Fantasy Points Per Game: 24
Anthony Colandrea has a date with Air Force in Week 7. Air Force allowed Micah Alejado (Hawaii) to score 36.88 fantasy points on them in Week 5 and Blake Horvath (Navy) to throw for a career high 339 yards in Week 6. Horvath’s historic passing day resulted in a 48.56 fantasy output. Due to the recent quarterback success against Air Force, I recommend Anthony Colandrea this week as one of my G5 Waiver Wire Finds. Look for Colandrea to EAT in Week 7, especially if this Air Force offense continues to put up points. Air Force has scored 30 points or more in each of their games this season, averaging 36.4 points. Thus, Colandrea and the Rebels will need to keep pace if they want to come out victorious in Week 7 and stay undefeated!
Gavin Wimsatt, Jacksonville State
Fantrax Rostership: 4%
Total Fantasy Points: 76.7
Fantasy Points Per Game: 15.3
Proceed with caution on this one as Gavin Wimsatt was hurt in the first half of the Gamecocks’ Week 5 game against Southern Miss. However, I believe he will be back in Week 7, as he and Jacksonville State had a well-timed bye week. In his two games against G5 opponents (Liberty and Georgia Southern), he is averaging 22.45 fantasy points per game. All in all, through five games (technically four and a half games), Gavin is averaging 9.2 rush attempts per game for 47.4 yards. Against those G5 teams I mentioned earlier, he is averaging 68.5 yards per game on the ground. Who does Jacksonville State play in Week 7? Sam Houston.
Sam Houston ranks 131 out of 134 teams for passing yards allowed with 308.4 yards per game. They allow 148.4 yards per game on the ground. Simultaneously, Sam Houston’s redzone defense is one of the worst in the nation as they have allowed their opponents to reach the redzone 25 times (7th worst in the nation) and score on 96% of those visits. Given that, Gavin Wimsatt makes my Week 7 G5 Waiver Wire Finds.
Running Backs
Wayne Knight, James Madison University (JMU)
Fantrax Rostership: 24%
Total Fantasy Points: 85.2
Fantasy Points Per Game: 21.3
I recommended Wayne Knight last week on the G5 Hive’s Waiver Wire Honey. If you picked him up and played him, he got you 15.5 fantasy points. Knight is still widely available, so I am going to recommend him for yet another week as one of my Week 7 G5 Waiver Wire Finds.
Over the last three games, he has averaged 21 opportunities and turned those opportunities into 22.57 points per game. JMU plays Louisiana in Week 7. Louisiana is coming off its bye week. However, in Week 5, they allowed Marshall running back, Michael Allen, to run for 138 yards and two touchdowns. The week prior (Week 4), we saw Eastern Michigan’s running back, Dontae McMillan, rush for 126 yards. As a result, Wayne Knight is a great plug-and-play running back for you in Week 7.
Dontae McMillan, Eastern Michigan University (EMU)
Fantrax Rostership: 20%
Total Fantasy Points: 109.3
Fantasy Points Per Game: 18.2
Dontae McMillan has seen 22, 17 and 22 opportunities over EMU’s last three games. Concurrently, those opportunities have resulted in fantasy outputs of 15.7, 13.4 and 30.3 points. During this three-game stretch, Dontae’s lowest yardage game was 104 yards. Not only is McMillan a top G5 running back, but he is also one of the best in all of college football! He ranks twelfth in the nation in total yards per game with 119. Because of this success, his floor has settled in at the 13–15-point range with a 24–30-point ceiling from week to week.
Wide Receivers
Camden Brown, Georgia Southern
Fantrax Rostership: 20%
Total Fantasy Points: 89.2
Fantasy Points Per Game: 17.8
Camden Brown has not had a single-digit fantasy performance thus far this season. He has seen at least five targets in every game and has been averaging 17.8 fantasy points per game. Brown’s 80.2 yards per game ranks thirty-third in the nation. Not to mention, Camden is second in the nation in redzone targets with four on the year. He is wide receiver 34 on the year and surprisingly still widely available. With this in mind, snag Camden Brown off your league’s waiver wire. Camden Brown is a usable G5 Waiver Wire Find this week.
Jordan Napier, San Diego State University (SDSU)
Fantrax Rostership: 30%
Total Fantasy Points: 91.8
Fantasy Points Per Game: 18.4
I continue to talk about Jordan Napier in these articles or on the G5 Hive Waiver Wire Honey. Napier ranks 26th in the nation in targets per game with 8.2 and 18th in yards per game with 87.6. Last week, Jordan hauled in all seven of his targets for 153 yards and one touchdown, which was good for 28.3 fantasy points. Given Napier’s usage, he is a safe option to net you 12-15 points each week but has 25+ point upside in his range of outcomes. Because of these reasons, I believe Jordan Napier is a G5 Waiver Wire Find MUST add ahead of Week 7.
Tight Ends
Jackson Canaan, San Jose State University (SJSU)
Fantrax Rostership: 2%
Total Fantasy Points: 33.7
Fantasy Points Per Game: 6.7
Jackson Canaan’s quarterback, Walker Eget, is throwing the ball 37 times per game this season. Eget is also leading G5 quarterbacks (6th nationally) in passing yards per game with 305 yards. Thus, these statistics intrigue me.
Jackson is averaging three receptions on four targets for 35 yards per game. He has a modest 7.5 Average Depth Of Target (ADOT), so this tells me he is not only used as a check-down option. He currently is tied for third on the team with Leland Smith for receptions with 16, which accounts for 13% of the Spartans’ receptions on the year. Over his last three games, Canaan is averaging 7.9 fantasy points. If you are searching for a tight end to plug and play in Week 7, the numbers are pointing me to Jackson Canaan as a G5 Waiver Wire Find.
