Caitlin Clark unfortunately had her season cut short this year due to injury and while this has stopped her from showing out on the court recently, she also hasn’t necessarily enjoyed much free time either.

Even if it was only as a spectator, Clark was still greatly invested in the Indiana Fever’s playoff run where they narrowly missed out on a spot in the WNBA Finals after going down to the Las Vegas Aces in five games.  

Not to mention her name being thrown around amidst all the recent talk about whether Commissioner Cathy Engelbert and league leadership truly values its’ players.

With all that going on, it can be good to take some time to remember to laugh at yourself and just laugh a little in general.

Thankfully for Caitlin, Adam Sandler was in town and going to one of his shows is probably a pretty good way to have a night filled with laughs.  

Sandler is currently in the middle of his ‘You’re My Best Friend’ Comedy Tour around the United States and Canada, and he recently performed at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis where he took some time to meet up with Clark.

Sandler has starred in many films about sports, so perhaps that was one of the topics he and Caitlin discussed.

So maybe they talked about what it was like playing an NBA scout on ‘Hustle.’ Or what it was like playing an ex-NFL quarterback on ‘The Longest Yard,’ or taking on the role of a hockey player turned golfer in ‘Happy Gilmore.’  

Or maybe they had a lengthy, detailed discussion about all the reasons that make water so much better than Gatorade.  

Either way, even when you’re one of the most popular and famous players in basketball, linking up with a comedy legend like Adam Sandler sure is pretty cool.
